Mirrored Stars – Donna Lynn Thomas

Learn how to use mirrors to find and fussy cut repeats in intricate prints to make these dazzling, beautiful stars. Donna will provide two star patterns for you to choose from; the traditional LeMoyne Star and her own Ribbon Star. Make as many or as few as you wish to make the quilt of your dreams. Both hand and machine skills will be taught--you choose your preferred method. These stars are actually quite easy to master and can become quite addictive as you seek out 
new and exciting prints to mirror. Donna made the large class sample over a period of 12 years as she collected prints and made stars. This technique is not the same as Stack 'n Whack.  Previous patchwork experience is required.  Class Fee $60.

One Block Wonders – Jenise Cantlon

Join Jenise to learn an unusual method of creating beautiful quilts using one fabric and one simple shape!  Similar to a Kaleidoscope quilt but without all the detailed fussy cutting and precision piecing, the fabric becomes your artists’ pallet as you arrange the pieces and discover the unique movement and flow one fabric can create.  During this two session class you will spend the first session selecting and cutting fabrics, and then during the second session you will be sewing and using a design wall.  Machine piecing & rotary cutting experience required.  Book Fee $23.95 less 20%.  Class Fee $40.

Shining Star – Mindy Peterson

Have you ever wanted to make a Lone Star quilt but dreaded those “Y” seams?  Beginners take heart!  This traditional star is not as complicated as it looks.  This 40” square lap quilt or wall hanging only uses 5 fat quarters for the center star.  Half square triangle units are sewn into sections and the sections then sewn to form the center of the quilt.  Machine piecing & rotary cutting experience required.  Pattern Fee $8.  Class Fee $35.
